The Whittier Way
The “Whittier Way” is a school wide reward system using the “PBIS” 3 B’s – Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible. Teachers and other adults in the building use the “PAWS” program to recognize students who use the 3 “B’s”. When a student is caught being Respectful, Responsible or Safe, the teacher will fill out a “paw” nominating them for the behavior. Nominated students will be announced at the end of the week and be included on the “Whittier Way” bulletin board outside the office. The goal is that every student will be on the board at least once by the end of the school year.
