All School Penny War
Starts Monday, April 21st
A “penny war” is a fun, competitive fundraising game where teams (like classrooms) compete to earn the most money by collecting pennies and sabotaging other teams with silver coins. Our school is holding a Penny War to raise money for field trip costs.
It will begin Monday, April 21st and run through Friday, May 2nd.
How it works:
- Teams: Our teams will be classrooms
- Collecting Pennies: Classrooms earn points by collecting pennies in their own containers.
- Sabotaging Other Teams: Classrooms can deduct points from other classrooms by placing silver coins in their containers.
- Scoring: Pennies count positively, while silver coins count negatively.
- Winning: The classroom with the highest point total (after subtracting the value of silver coins) at the end of the fundraising period wins. Each class will have the ability to vote for an agreed upon classroom reward to receive if they are the winning classroom. (examples, extra computer time, extra recess/playtime…)
Thanks for helping our campaign!
