Wedgewood Park International School’s Annual Report Card

This report includes data on four priority areas: Student Achievement, Student Growth, Closing Gaps, On Track & Post Secondary Readiness. The report card also provides data on three Student Engagement indicators. These indicators affect student success and school effectiveness. See the Wedgewood 2022-23 Report Card.
About Wedgewood Park International School
Wedgewood Park International School aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the school works with Milwaukee Public Schools, parents and the International Baccalaureate Organization to develop challenging experiences of international education and rigorous assessments.
Our program encourages students to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
Wedgewood Park’s International Baccalaureate Affiliation
Wedgewood Park International School is the first International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme in the state of Wisconsin. To be authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization, Wedgewood Park staff is required to be intensively trained in IB curriculum writing, assessment and methodology. A complex application process following a successful two-day authorization visit by International Baccalaureate representatives resulted in Wedgewood Park receiving this honor along with high future expectations.
All Wedgewood Park staff are passionate about every student receiving a high quality middle school education which is why the IB program is delivered with fidelity. Eight subject areas are required in every IB-middle years programme and Wedgewood Park students have a minimum of 50 hours per school year in Math, Language Acquisition (French/Spanish), Language and Literature (English), Individuals and Societies, Science, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Technology, and Physical Education. Wedgewood Park has all of these offerings! We do not cut student educational programs due to financial constraints or budget shortfalls!
This rigorous, world renowned, college bound program is available to all Milwaukee children who are interested in following their middle school years with an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at several area high schools. It is not uncommon for students graduating from these high schools with an IB diploma to receive numerous college credits due to the university level of difficulty.
Thanks to our programme, students have the opportunity to be part of trips so as to widen their horizons.
