About Riverwest

Riverwest Elementary School is a multi-ethnic, Title I school located in the Riverwest area of Milwaukee. Riverwest serves approximately 340 students. Our curriculum allows every pupil to learn to his/her maximum potential. High expectations are held for all students. Riverwest Elementary School staff is committed to providing a safe learning environment, promoting respect for others, developing critical thinking, creating an appreciation of the arts and encouraging parent/community involvement. We believe in the Riverwest Way- Peaceful, Productive and College Bound. We are a proud GE Foundation Demonstration School.

Mission

We believe that all students can learn and value the diversity of our students’ family background, socio-economic status, race and gender. High expectations are held for all students: we achieve excellence in academics and advanced levels of performance through a curriculum that supports high standards. Riverwest staff is committed to providing a safe, peaceful and productive learning environment, promoting respect for others, developing critical thinking, creating an appreciation of the arts and encouraging parent/community involvement.
