A student locker should be used solely and exclusively for the storage of outer garments, footwear, headgear and school related materials. No student shall used the locker for any other purpose. Students should not share their combinations or their locker. Immediately report any locker difficulty to your administrator. The school will not retrieve articles left in another student’s locker. Students are responsible for any item found in your locker. Lockers are school property and may be subjected to inspection at any time by school officials. All students must clean out their locker at the end of the school year. Writing on or inside of the lockers is considered to be vandalism and students will be charged accordingly.
Lockers – Gym
Each student receives a MASTER combination lock from the physical education teacher to be used strictly for securing student’s property in gym lockers. Students must use this lock every time belongings are stored in the gym locker. RUHS is not responsible for any property lost or stolen in the gym locker room. Do not leave any valuable items in the gym lockers. Students should immediately contact the gym teacher if his/her lock is lost or if the lock is malfunctioning. Replacement of lost locks may cost up to $7.00
Locker Break-In & Theft Prevention
The staff investigates all alleged reported thefts. In an attempt to reduce theft, do the following:
- Do not share lockers. Do not allow others to see your combination when you are opening your locker.
- Turn the dial after closing your locker and pull up on the handle to make sure it is locked before walking away.
- Do not give you locker combination to anyone, not even your friend.
- Immediately report any difficult to your administrator.
- Label all coats and jackets.
If something is lost or stolen, students are required to fill out a form describing the lost or stolen items in room 215. The RUHS staff will do everything possible to prevent theft. If personal items are lost or stolen, there is no school insurance to cover the loss. Check with your family insurance to see if coverage is provided.
