The Bilingual Program serves approximately 150 students from Spanish Immersion schools and many Spanish-speaking countries. The program offers a great opportunity for students to maintain fluency in Spanish and to learn culture and traditions of these countries. The Bilingual Program offers the same academic courses, but offers Spanish and English instruction in English, Math, Science and Social Studies. Spanish for Spanish-speakers courses, Advanced Placement Spanish Language, and Advanced Placement Spanish Literature courses are available; as well as, English as a Second Language. The goal of our program is for students to excel in both languages by preserving the native language while learning the second language in order to become completely bilingual.
We strive to maintain a feeling of family among the staff and our students. All of the courses offered through the Bilingual Program are university preparatory courses. In addition to our faculty, we also have bilingual paraprofessionals who assist in bilingual classes where our bilingual students are found.
