Dear Obama Cougar Family:
Welcome and thank you for visiting the Barack Obama School of Career and Technical Education’s website. My name is Jason Brazil, the principal at Barack Obama SCTE. I am proud to be a part of the wonderful community of students, staff, family, and community partners. I come from a family of MPS educators, so the success and well-being of our students is near and dear to me. My passion for teaching and working with students came during my college years when I worked in MPS Summer Camps and precollege programs. I officially began with MPS in 2008 as a paraprofessional with a promise to make a change for the better. Now in this role, I am able to stand by my word and be the best leader I can be to ensure that the students of Barack Obama SCTE thrive.
Here at Barack Obama, we are guided by Milwaukee Public Schools 5 priorities for success:
1. Increase Academic Achievement and Accountability
2. Improve District and School Culture
3. Develop Our Staff
4. Ensure Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency
5. Strengthen Communication and Collaboration
Please join us in making sure the students of Obama SCTE get the best opportunities possible–whether their path is one of technical education, college/university, the military, or career exploration. Success will take collaboration from all of our students, staff, families, community, and community partners. I invite you all to be a part of something special, and I thank you for choosing Barack Obama SCTE.
Best,
Mr. Jason Brazil, Principal
Barack Obama School of Career and Technical Education
