The core curriculum of Milwaukee High School of the Arts focuses on the performing and visual arts: Literary Arts, Dance, Music, Theater & Film, and Visual Art & Design. Every student is enrolled in at least two arts classes per semester.
Students are engaged daily with highly skilled and qualified arts faculty, and are offered unique and numerous opportunities to work with professionals and educators from around the nation through master classes, coaching, and live performance.

Milwaukee High School of the Arts has partnerships with many local organizations like the Skylight Opera Company, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, MATC, University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, the Prometheus Trio, and MIAD, along with frequent visits from professional Artists, Musicians, and Dancers.
