Parent Guide to Standards-based Report Cards
Reading is fundamental!

It is especially important to be reading with your child every day in the younger grades. Take time to read with your kindergartners and first graders often as you can! A love of stories, books, and reading can really go a long way. Don’t worry about what language you read to your child, as long as you are reading! As your students get older, continue to read to them and have them read to you. It helps make them better readers by developing their fluency, expression, and flow.
At MGIS, we value our parents and families as significant supporters of a child’s education.
