School Lunches

Click here to view the current lunch menu.

When school is in-person students may bring a cold lunch from home or enjoy a school meal for breakfast and/or lunch.

Every MPS student is eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost.  At this time we are not offering an a la carte milk.  If a student would like a milk at lunch, have them sign up for our fee free school lunch which includes a milk.

School Nutrition Information

Milwaukee Public Schools follow federal nutrition guidelines serving more fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and low-fat dairy than ever before. School nutrition professionals prepare and serve balanced, nutritious meals in age-appropriate portion sizes that provide needed nutrition and promote healthy childhood weights. School lunch provides one-third of the recommended dietary allowances of protein, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, iron, calcium and calories. School breakfast provides one-fourth of the recommended calories and nutrients per day.

Maryland Avenue Montessori School offers universally fee-free breakfast and lunch at school.

Cold Lunch

Students may choose to bring a cold lunch.  Families are encouraged to send a balanced, nutritious meal.    Children are not allowed to drink sodas or eat candy bars with their lunches.

We are a nutfree campus to ensure an allergy free school environment for all students. Please support us in this mission by excluding nuts and nut butters from your child’s lunches.

Breakfast Program

Maryland Avenue Montessori offers a universally fee free breakfast to any child who would like one.
