Throughout the month of February, MACL celebrated Black History Month. Each day, students participated in a trivia competition about the contributions and successes of Black Americans. Classes decorated their doors with depictions of Black culture, and we culminated the month with our Black History Month Program.
From poetry and dance, to song and choral reading, students displayed their talent, pride, and power. This year’s theme was “My Black Is…,” and we truly displayed how beautiful, powerful, brilliant, and joyful it is.
Thanks to Ms. Harris and the committee who organized this event, and thank you to all students, staff, and families that participated and attended. We hope everyone enjoyed the show!
