Students in the International Newcomer Center participated in Service Experience Day on April 28th. In this interactive experience, students had the opportunity to talk to veterans about their service, learn from active duty members about their roles, and climb aboard various types of military vehicles.
Students even extinguished fire, carried “dead weight” to safety, and used a sledgehammer to feel the force of breaking down a door. We are so very grateful to the staff of the War Memorial Center for this experience, and to all veteran and active duty military members for their service.
