In high school, student-athletes are expected to attend practice every day and stay on top of academics.  If for any reason you cannot attend a practice or game it is important that your coach knows ahead of time.

Shuttle bus transportation will be provided to the practice location.  Bus tickets will be provided to get home.  To get home, athletes may choose one of the following options – get a ride, take the city bus from practice site using the provided ticket, or take the shuttle bus back to Juneau and get home from there.

In order to join one of the interscholastic athletic teams at Juneau, a student should attend the first organizational meeting held for the sport.  In most cases, all students who wish to join a team may do so.  If a student has expressed an interest in a particular sport, his/her name will be given to the coach of the sport.  If a student is not able to attend the organizational meeting, simply contact the Athletic Director to indicate your interest.  Upon doing so, the student’s name will be given to the coach of the sport he/she wishes to join.

Athletes may participate in only one (1) sport per season.  There are 3 seasons each school year:  Fall, Winter, Spring.

Awards are presented for successful completion of the activity as determined by the coach/advisor and Athletic Director.
