How to participate:
To participate in high school athletics, parents and students must register online. No paper registrations are accepted. For a student athlete to be cleared to practice, the following must be completed:
– Online registration (must go all the way to the end and click SUBMIT)
– Signed (by a doctor) physical uploaded to the online registration system
– Insurance card uploaded to the online registration system
– Athletic fee paid (either by card to the online system or cash to the athletic director/office)
Again, ALL of the above must be completed before the student can attend practice. Some teams have tryouts, so it is recommended that registration is completed before the season starts.

Eligibility Requirements:
The student-athlete must be a full-time student, have no more than one (1) failing grade the previous marking period, and 3rd and 4th year students must have a GPA of at least 2.0. Incoming freshmen do not have any grade requirements for fall sports.
In high school, student-athletes are expected to attend practice every day and stay on top of academics. If for any reason you cannot attend a practice or game it is important that your coach knows ahead of time.
Shuttle bus transportation will be provided to the practice location (if offsite). Bus tickets will be provided to get home (if needed). To get home, athletes may either get a ride or take the city bus from the practice site using the provided bus ticket.
In order to join one of the interscholastic athletic teams at Juneau, a student should attend the first organizational meeting held for the sport. In most cases, all students who wish to join a team may do so. If a student has expressed an interest in a particular sport, their name will be given to the coach of the sport. If a student is not able to attend the organizational meeting, simply contact the Athletic Director to indicate your interest. Upon doing so, the student’s name will be given to the coach of the sport they wish to join.
Awards are presented for successful completion of the activity as determined by the Coach and Athletic Director.
If you have any questions regarding athletics at MacDowell Montessori please feel free to contact the athletic director, Amanda Schenk, at 414-935-1438 or by email at schenkao@milwaukee.k12.wi.us.
