Please Join Us and Give Blood at MacDowell on March 10th!

MacDowell Montessori School and the American Red Cross are hosting a blood drive this spring. We are calling on students, families, staff, and our entire community to join us! Please join our lifesaving mission and schedule an appointment today.

Click here to make your appointment!

You may also call/text our local Red Cross contact with questions about donating blood: 262-200-1198. Individuals who are 16 years of age or older, in general good health, and weigh at least 110 lbs. are eligible to give blood. Click here for additional eligibility info. Below is the blood drive information –

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 seconds. Most of us will need blood in our lifetime – 1 in 7 patients entering the hospital will need a transfusion, but only 3% of the US population donates blood. Let’s roll up our sleeves and turn that statistic around!

By donating at our blood drive, you are helping a graduating senior earn a scholarship. Plus, all attempting donors will receive a $20 Amazon gift card, via email.

Thank you for supporting the American Red Cross blood program! We hope to see you soon!

MPS: The City Review

Family Nights is a program designed to encourage families to attend theater on a regular basis. For those who participate, it is a dynamic, interactive experience that changes the way families look at each show and each other. The goal of the program is not only to introduce families to the magic of the performing arts, but also to create lasting memories through special family activities to give a deeper perspective on what they will be seeing. This program is free to all families who register.

Attached HERE is this year’s list of Family Nights performances.

Here’s how it works

Review the first page of the flier, which lists the shows and performances. There is a description and video to complement each performance.

  • Click on the blue bar at the bottom of the page to register.
  • Please enter your email address to move to the next page.
  • Us the drop-down menu under “Organization or Affiliation” to select the appropriate organization.
  • Continue down the page to complete the rest of the form.
  • Please select the shows (select as many as you’re interested in attending).
  • Once you hit “Submit” you will receive an RSVP.

We will track the registrants and their affiliations. Your tickets will be held under your name/affiliation in Will Call. It’s extremely important to attend the performances you and your families sign up for. Please contact ltownsend@marcuscenter.org with questions.
