CHECK YOUR FOLDERS (k3-6TH GRADE): Please remember to check your child’s backpack on Thursday for important school work and messages from the school/teacher.
REMINDER – Picture Day Packages and Proof Sheets are coming. We will also have yearbooks for sale in the spring.
- If families did not order a photo package prior to picture day, they will receive a proof sheet with customized codes so that they can order photos online.
- Families will be able to see the image on this proof sheet and will have until the end of this year to order at https://my.lifetouch.com/. This proof sheet will be in Thursday folders / delivered to 7-12 students in 1-2 weeks.
- Picture packages will go home with students in 1-2 weeks.
- Retake day is for students who were absent on photo day, and for any student who is retaking their photo. If families ordered a picture package before picture day and did not like it, their student needs to bring the picture package back on retake day and take a new picture. Another picture package will be sent to school.
Please Note: Picture Retake day is scheduled for 11/9/21.

MPS is offering $100 for students who are fully vaccinated by November 1, 2021.
Milwaukee Public Schools has prepared information and an application to help families apply for a $100 incentive for students. Children age 12 and older who receive two doses of Pfizer vaccine are eligible. You can read more HERE.
BIG BROTHER BIG SISTER MENTOR 2.0: (STUDENTS GR. 9-11) The mentor2.0 program provided by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee (BBBS) is a proven, technology-enriched, mentoring program for high school students. The goal of mentor2.0 is for students to develop a relationship with a caring adult that can provide additional guidance and support as the student completes high school and moves on to the next phase of their lives. Students can enroll in the program at any time in 9-11th grade, with most matches being made in the Fall.

ANNOUNCING THE PARENT LIBRARY! We have a wide variety of books and audiobooks on the topic of parenting that guardians may check out if they wish. Please see the list below and touch base with Ms. Claudine if you are interested in a copy. Books/audiobooks would be checked out under the student’s name and could be delivered through the student or picked up from the main office. PTO FUNDRAISER: Help the PTO raise money for uniforms for our brand new High School Drumline!. The PTO is also raising funds for the startup costs for our high school students’ T-shirt Design Studio Occupation. Fundraiser dates will be announced soon.
TRAVEL THE WORLD ON YOUR DAYS OFF SCHOOL: GRADES K5-5TH | 9AM-4PM AT DANCEWORKS. Each Danceworks School Day Off Workshop will explore a different country of the world. Discover traditions, music, and the day to day life of children thousands of miles away. Gain insight and discover similarities between other cultures and peoples. Registration for all workshops will close one week before the workshop date. Space is limited – it’s never too early to register! Masks will be required to be worn by all students regardless of vaccination status. Scholarships available! Applications can be found on their website.

ELEMENTARY COACHES NEEDED! Winter Elementary Sports Team Registration is happening soon! We are hoping to form several sports teams for Winter Athletics, but we need coaches to make it happen! Please consider volunteering your time. See below for details. Coaches are paid through Milwaukee Recreation. We will notify parents which teams we have and the registration procedure, based on the teams that we are able to form. -Games are held on Saturdays, practice is 1 day a week minimum, practice ideally begins shortly after school dismissal time.

- 6th through 8th grade Co-Ed Basketball

Insurance and a physical are required to be uploaded with your registration.
