Curriculum

Aligned to Common Core State Standards with AGR small class sizes, HighScope early childhood programming and specialty coursework in Computer Technology. Full-day K3 Head Start!

Junior Achievement of Wisconsin

We have a strong partnership with the Junior Achievement of Wisconsin program, which inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy. The mission of this program is to ensure that every child in the state has an opportunity to obtain an understanding of the free enterprise system. Lessons are organized according to the MPS Social Studies curriculum. The Junior Achievement curriculum is first implemented in K5 classrooms and continues through eighth grade.

Achievement Gap Reduction (AGR) Program

The AGR Program replaced the Student Achievement Guarantee in Education program (SAGE) at the end of the 2017-18 school year. The AGR program requires a participating school to create performance objectives, including reducing the achievement gap between low−income students in that school and students in the same grade and subject statewide.

HighScope early childhood programming

The High/Scope program offers a preschool to age eight curriculum model that provides appropriate activities for each stage of a child’s mental and physical growth. Teachers are trained to use the High/Scope method and the classroom is equipped to support the child’s learning skills acquired in preschool and elementary school.
