Greetings and Salutations to all!
I would like to take this opportunity to officially welcome you to the upcoming school year. My name is Anesia Hayes, and I am the proud Instructional Leader of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. African American Immersion Community School, where our motto is “Restoring Hope in the Dream!”
As a mother of three beautiful children who attended MPS and a wife of 27 years, I am honored to be a part of this wonderful institution. I am myself a product of Milwaukee Public Schools, having attended Clement Avenue Elementary School, Samuel Morse Middle School for the Gifted and Talented, and Milwaukee Trade and Technical High School, where I was a proud Trojan.
After high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration, with a minor in Management. Later, at Cardinal Stritch University, I received my master’s degree in Administrative Leadership. Since 1995, I have been a dedicated MPS Educator right here at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School. I am thrilled to continue serving this community and look forward to a great year ahead!
