Elective offerings

Hamilton is a large comprehensive high school and as such, we proudly offer a range of elective classes to enhance and enrich any student’s high school experience. If Fine Art is your passion, Hamilton offers more art classes than any other high school. Clay design, painting, and drawing are just a few of the courses you can take to satisfy your inner artist. If you prefer Music, we offer band and chorus for the musicians out there.  Our music students are also offered the opportunity to perform at various events like annual concerts, school programs, parades, and festivals throughout the city.  If you prefer to learn World Languages we offer French, Spanish, Chinese and English as a Second Language (ESL).  And finally, our Physical Education department will teach our students the value of physical fitness and give them the tools to stay fit long after high school.  In addition to the electives above, students can take classes as electives from any of Hamilton’s departments.
