4th Graders at Goodrich are doing the Bicycle Driver’s Education Program. The program includes a comprehensive Bicycle Driver’s Ed curriculum offered by the Wisconsin Bike Fed that will teach traffic laws and skills through outdoor classroom activities and on-bike skills practice. Students will learn skills such as helmet use, hand signals, traffic signs, maneuvering through intersections and out of driveways. The on-bike portions of the curriculum will be conducted by our expert Safe Routes Instructors on the school grounds and surrounding community streets. Bicycles and helmets are being supplied by the Wisconsin Bike Fed for students to use during these classes after which they get to keep their own helmet!
