The Milwaukee Art Museum’s Junior Docent School Program (JDSP) teachers students the vocabulary, history, and interpretation of the visual arts. The instruction provides assists in the development, awareness, and understanding of visual arts in relation to history and cultures. Students visit the Museum three times each year, over a three-year period, building on concepts and skills while using the Milwaukee Art Museum’s collection.

Close proximity to the school and MSO Concerts for Schools has made the symphony concerts a regular destination for the students. - Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO)
Many Golda Meir’s students participate in MYSO’s Progressions Program, which is an intensive string training program providing private instruction and orchestral training in violin, viola, cello and bass to 3rd and 4th grade City of Milwaukee students with little or no experience playing a string instrument. Many other students also participate in various MYSO groups.
