About

Mission

Fairview School’s mission is to prepare all students to excel in higher education, post-educational opportunities, work, and citizenship.

Vision

Fairview School’s vision is to prepare students to reach their full potential by using 21st century skills to become productive, responsible citizens and lifelong learners.

Values

  • We will teach the Common Core State Standards and provide evidence of student achievement of those Standards.
  • We will make full use of student contact time before, during, and after school as opportunities to maximize learning.
  • We will demonstrate our belief that all students can achieve their grade level standards by exhibiting high expectations and providing differentiated instruction that are both rigorous and engaging as well as culturally relevant.
  • We will ensure a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment that is conducive to learning throughout the building.
  • We will utilize opportunities for collaboration (coaching, planning, sharing) using research-based best practices to enhance student learning.

Partnerships

Fairview School has a strong partnership with American Transmission Company (ATC). We have a strong PLTW program and could not be more proud of our partnership. ATC was founded in 2001, as the first multi-state, transmission-only utility in the United States. Unlike most other utilities, we have a single focus: transmission. Our transmission system allows energy producers to transport electric power from where it’s generated to where it’s needed. It’s similar to the interstate highway system with high-voltage electricity traveling on the transmission system wires like vehicles on the highway.
