We have had a great school year! We hope you enjoy the long summer and good weather with your family. Now that it is June, it is time to communicate a few details about the start of the new school year 2024-2025. The faculty will be well rested and delighted to start the new school year and open the doors to ALBA school again. The following is important information for the first day of school, which will be Tuesday, September 3, 2024. We are confident that all students will learn a lot and will have great success this 2024-2025 school year.
- We have included in this mailing the school supply list 1st – 8th / School supply list kinder 4 & 5 so you can take advantage of store sales. Please bring everything to school during the open house or the first day of school. It is required that every student comes to school in his/her uniform EVERYDAY beginning with the first day of school!
- Registration will be Monday, August 19, 2024 starting at 10:00am until 1:00pm in the cafeteria. We are depending on your cooperation to verify that the child will continue to be enrolled at ALBA. You will be filling out various documents for the new school year. You should bring the emergency contact numbers, family doctor’s name and phone number, and letters from the doctor if your child requires medication or special accommodations. During registration, August 19th, there will be staff members able to help you fill out these documents.
- Open House will be on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Presentations will begin at 4:00pm in the auditorium, please be on time. You will have an opportunity to meet teachers, see the classroom, find his or her locker, and listen to a teacher short presentation about the new school year expectations. It is mandatory that a parent/guardian is present at the event to learn the procedures of the classroom and the grade level expectations. Uniform shirts will be for sale. We advise you to bring the supplies to Open House to leave in the classroom.
- School begins Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 7:20 a.m. sharp. If you are driving to school, then you need to park in the west side of the parking lot at the corner of Burnham and 32nd Street. You will not get a parking ticket there. You do risk receiving a police ticket if you park on the perimeter of the school building. ALBA school is not responsible for paying for parking tickets.
- Please make sure your child uses the designated doors for entry on the map attached.
- Students in K3, K4 and K5 will have staggered attendance according to the attendance flyer attached.
- Security Measures: Based on the MPS Visitor Policy requires, for the safety of all students, that all visitors report to the office, show a form of identification, sign and take a seat in the office. It is not allowed for visitors (including family members) walking around the school without being escorted by a school personnel.
As always, we welcome new students for enrollment at ALBA School. We are enrolling students in all grades from K4 through 8th grade.
